Adidas x Parley Boilersuit

The Adidas x Parley Boilersuit is sort of a mash up of a tracksuit and a boilersuit. It is for women, but the XL-size fits me, a male who wears L, without any issues.

The fabric contains plastic waste from the oceans (that’s the “x Parley” bit). It is much lighter than I expected, but that’s not a negative, since it is for summer use.

Features:

Available in “beige tone” (Adidas product code HD2518) and “olive” (HD2517).

Loose and comfortable fit, but you can tighten the waist with a string on the inside and the bottom of the legs have strings for tightening.

Rib knit cuffs.

Has the three Adidas stripes along the arms and there’s an embroidered trefoil with the text “parley” underneath it on the front.

Metal zippers from YKK. The front zipper has a ring pull while the pockets have “plain” pull tabs.

Two diagonal pockets with zippers that unzip from the bottom.

Two side pockets with zippers.

Given that we all carry phones nowadays, I think every jacket, or in this case suit, should have at least one pocket that will fit a large phone. The chest pockets on this suit are too small for my phone, but I am happy to report that the side pockets will fit it.

The front zipper zips into a stand up collar. The collar is 12.5 cm from base to tip and then tapers off to 10 cm at the back. The collar looks great zipped all the way up and the fabric is so light you’re hardly going to die from heat exhaustion if you do wear it fully zipped up in summer.

Zip it up! I really like how the collar looks, it has a nice shape.
Summer seems to be finally coming to an end where I live – it is much cooler today – so I will probably take both the suit and the jacket, which I looked at the other day, for a “test drive” outdoors later on.

Call me weird, but I can totally see a future where we would all be wearing suits like this all the time; it’s comfortable and practical! There’s nothing in particular that screams “female” about this suit so males can definitely wear it. I am going to give it a Fullyzippedup.com 9 out of 10 score.
