Jacket Time! (And Some Videos/Pictures)

I really like this jacket, and it is currently, I would say, one of the best jackets in the sub-EUR100 category which you can easily get your hands on. It is from a sub-brand of a major clothing retailer (google the name on the label in the picture below and you will find it). It is for women and since it is a bomber, it ends up being quite short on men (at least that’s the case for me), but that hasn’t stopped me from wearing the XL-sized version of the jacket outside.

I am generally not a fan of snap plackets across the front zippers on jackets (we want to see the lovely zippers!), but it works quite well on this jacket and gives it a very “clean” look and as you can tell the zipper on the collar is still fully exposed.

There’s one inner pocket which will fit most phones. There are no outer pockets.

The zipper is metal and it is from a (presumably Chinese) brand which I don’t think I have come across before. Still, I have had no issues with it, it glides smoothly and it has a large zipper pull.

The collar is quite substantial and it is made of a cotton and polyester mix. Oh, and it zips all the way up! Yes, all the way up! Would you believe it! 🙂 I can’t deny that my fetish influences the way is see things, but having a collar like this is just superior to the alternatives. While your friends deal with scarves, one quick pull of the zipper is all it takes and you are done and ready to brave the cold! The collar comes up to the top of the head, which I personally think is pretty cool, though a bit unpractical (maybe). I have mostly worn the collar fully zipped through and folded over like a turtleneck or zipped like three fourths up and then folded over.

So, should you buy this jacket? If you are a woman or are buying it for a woman: Definitely! If you are a man: Maybe. It depends on how it will fit you and if you’re buying it to wear outside or as a “play” item :-).
