On to the second puffer I bought from Shein earlier this year. I paid roughly 35 euros for this, but did notice that the price fell well below that later on. At some point I think you could get this jacket for a ridiculous 13 euros. This is the better jacket of the two I bought and it rectifies the issues I had with the first one:
- There’s more heft to this jacket and more filling so will probably keep you warmer.
- Has two front pockets that zip shut. The pockets are too small to fit a large smartphone, but I’ll take pockets over no pockets any day of the week.
- Uses a plastic zipper which glides smoothly.
Again this is a jacket for women and it is cropped. It has a metal ring zip pull. I can zip the jacket to where the collar starts, but the collar is a bit too tight for my large male head. Had I been able to zip the collar to the top it would have come up to my forehead! The collar, by the way, is made of a nice double layered thick ribbed knit material.
This jacket is a winner. I can see someone going clubbing in it as well as being kept reasonably warm in it on a chillier day. I think the collar on this jacket works best zipped halfway up and then folded down like a giant shirt collar. As I said the collar comes way up so you won’t see anything unless you fold it in some way. The collar will also stand up on its own without it being zipped – “Dracula” style :-).
This jacket is not available to buy anymore, but I will keep an eye out for similar jackets once we get closer to autumn.
